OOPS, I did it again!

I know, what you are all thinking, Halloween all ready. I couldn't resist any longer, I had to put up a new background and Halloween is just around the corner. Right?! Really I can't stay happy with a background for long and who knows this might not last till Halloween. We will just have to wait and see.

FAMILY PHOTOS

The Whole Gang!

My mom got us all together on Sat. to have family pictures taken before my sister, Audrey and here family move away in Oct. What an ordeal it was!! My sister, Jenn was the one taking the pictures and the place that she wanted to take them, the University, was having their homecoming and was a zoo, second the wind was terrible and Audrey didn't want to take the baby out in it, and of course she didn't want her hair messed up. So we tried to find a new place outside to take them. Jenn was such a trooper and actually drove all the way to Parowan to check out a place that she knew of. It was that windy there, so we decided to go and have pictures taken there. We had a big group photo and then individual families. It was fun to have the pictures taken outside. Once we were all done we went over to mom and Ted's to have dinner and hang out. We got some really nice pictures and I have my photos done for my Christmas cards done. YEAH!

The Cox Clan

My Honey and I

The cousins (grandkids)

The older boys pouting over something. I had wanted to get a picture of all my kids, but they weren't havin' in.

Fishing Trip w/Grandpa Ted

So here is a real post, nothing to do with shopping etc. I have been meaning to post these pictures for a long time now, but hadn't scanned them in yet. The boys went on a fishing trip with Grandpa Ted (my mom's new husband) this summer and loved it! They went with two of Ted's friends who Austin and Tanner enjoyed getting to know and hanging out with. They went to Otter Creek early, early in the morning. So early in fact that they spent the night at Ted's so they could just get up and go. To tell you the truth they have never really been fishing, a few times over at grandma and grandpa's over the mountain, but their dad is not a fisher and has never taken them. So they really enjoyed it!

Tanner was supposedly the "lucky one". He was catching all the fish and the biggest. He would "touch" someone that had not been able to catch anything yet, and low and behold, they would catch something. So he was going around and touching all the guys! He loved it! He loves to be the center of attention!
Austin caught his alloted amount and had to let a few go. He didn't mind that part, but he did mind the rule of "catch the fish, kiss the fish". In fact neither of the boys really kissed the fish. As you can tell from the photos.
Another rule is that you have to eat what you catch. So that afternoon when they got home with their fish, we had to eat it. Now I don't cook a ton of fish and had a hard time figuring out how to cook it. Thankfully my mom helped me out and we had a wonderful dinner. In fact,I think that Logan and Paige eat more that the older boys did.

*Thanks Granpa Ted, for taking the boys out on the boat and helping them fish. They had a GREAT time and want to do it again sometime.

$0.50 Chocolate Chips and More

This week at Walgreens they have a coupon for NESTLE Chocolate chips for $1.99. This coupon (store coupon) can be found in their weekly flyer at the front of the store. And on top of that coupon you can go here, register, and thencome back here and click here. print your $1.50 off coupon (manufactures coupon). Cousins Weekend!

As if I don't have enough kids at my house during the week already, I went and invited our two cousins over for a sleepover last night. The whole idea behind this, is because my sister and her family are moving in 4 weeks to Washington State to work. My kids are realy sad that Jaiden won't be here anymore to play with, so I decided to let them spend as much time with him before he leaves. Hence the sleepover. We can't have one cousin over and not invite the other, so Riley joined us. They had so much fun. They played outside, with cars and watched a movie. My kids love to pull out the hide-a-bed and sleep on it on the weekends, so of course we had to sleep out in the family room on the hide-a-bed. They had popcorn, soda, skittles and other goodies to get them all sugared up and hyper for bed. This morning James was nice enough to make everyone breakfast pizza. YUM!

The love between all my kids and their cousins is strong and powerful. They have all grown up living here in town together and have spent alot of time doing things with each other. They are good friends as well as cousins. I love that my sisters live here with their kids, so our kids can spend time with each other. I didn't grow up around any of my cousins and I don't really even know them, now that we are all adults. I think this is sad and I don't want my kids to experience this. So for the next few weeks we will be spending as much time as we can with Jaiden, Audrey, Sheldon and baby Alana before they move. We will miss them, but know that they are moving on to bigger and better oppurtunities! We love you guys!

Awesome Deal!

Okay so I am back on the band wagon when it comes to couponing and getting a great deal on things. I have been a little lax and lazy about it. Last night I spent almost an hour clipping two months worth of coupons. So obviously I had not been using coupons, if they were not clipped. But I have decided to get back into it and really try to find some great deals and maybe somethings for free.

So in honor of this I found these two great websites: http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=5750&e=dvd & http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=5477&e=dvd to receive a FREE Fisher Price Videos. Yes you heard me right, FREE videos. So if you have little boys, which I know some of you do, it would make a great Christmas gift. I just ordered me two, one from each site (they are different free videos, from each site). There is absolutely no cost, no shipping, no nothing. Good Luck! I am going tonight to get some more great deals, I will let you know later about them.

*Also if you look down my sidebar, I added a special list just for money saving links. There are some really great sites there and I have looked and gotten really excited about saving money from these ladies. Take a look and maybe start saving your own money!

Crazy, Hectic Week

Wow, what a week this has been! With getting back from camping on Monday, to attending a cousins, sons funeral to bottling and watching kids. I have had a crazy, hectic, emotional week. Tuesday I did something like 11-12 loads of laundry, camping laundry on top of my other laundry. Now I don't mind doing the laundry, I just don't like putting it away. I despise it! Wednesday I had the usual kids that I babysit and got back into the swing of things. In fact I even bottled 12, 1/2 pints of Grape jelly. Thursday James, Paige and I headed over to Escalate to attend James' cousins funeral. He was 15 and had suffered from brain cancer for the past year. It was a very nice funeral, one that he was very deserving of, he was a great kid. On top of that death, our neighbors grandson passed away unexpectedly on Sat. He has been over to our house some and played with the boys the past few summers. That was the emotional part of the week. Yesterday I picked all of my corn in my garden and made freezer corn. Then I have bottled 6 quarts of peaches this morning, with 2 1/2 more boxes left. I will be bottling tonight and tomorrow, I hope I have enough jars. I still have to bottle my beans, pinto and kidney beans that I have been picking up. That will wait until it is a little colder though. And to top it all off I had to get grocery's last night. That in itself take 2 or more hours and then I have to come home and put it all away. Fun, NOT! Although I have been busy, I have been productive and boy does it feel good!

Cox Family Reunion

We attended the yearly Cox Reunion this past Labor Day weekend, at Tropic reservoir. This reunion is in honor of James' grandma Cox and her three kids and all the family that comes with it. There were lots of people, lots of food, lots and lots of dust, lots of kids riding 4-wheelers, some fishing going on and games played. We did have nice weather until Sunday morning when it rained hard enough that we all had to hide in our campers or tents. When we emerged it was muddy, so much for the dust, that problem was now solved. It continued to rain of and on all day, but not that bad. The rain didn't stop the kids from making circle around the camp riding 4-wheelers. I think that there were 10-11 4-wheeler, in camp, that makes for a lot of riding. There were even 2 little ones that the smaller kids (3-5 yr. olds) were riding. My boys went through 2 tanks of gas on our little wheeler and 1 tank of gas in one of our bigger ones. We now have three wheelers! The boys think that it is great that we have that many, one for each of them. NOT! We ended up having a great time visiting with family that we don't see very often and just plain relaxing. This weekend was very needed and we loved it! Hope that you all had a great Labor Day Weekend!

As you can tell there aren't that many of pics of the older boys, they were too busy riding the 4-wheelers and hardly stoped for pics. Silly boys!
