Christmas JOY!

I am finally posting about our Christmas Fun! We started out by having my family over for Christmas eve dinner and opening of Christmas jammies. We played some games and hung out and once everyone went home we watched "Joy To The World". What a great movie that is, we love it and watch it every year! The older boys were really excited, as always, and were ready for bed at 8! I think that is the earliest they have ever gotten to bed!
The kids checked out all the goodies from Santa and played for a little bit. Then came the real fun, opening of presents. We had scaled down Christmas a little this year, they got one toy, pj's, an outfit, the gift from grandmas and grandpas and what ever Santa brought them. What they didn't know is that we had bought them a Wii, on top of those other gifts. I didn't put these under the tree, I put these gifts out on Christmas Eve, so Christmas morning they saw them and had to wait until all other gifts were opened to open those. They didn't have a clue as to what they were, they were for all three of the boys and they couldn't figure out what we had gotten them. It was so much fun to see their faces when they open the first one, the Wii. It was GREAT!
Amazingly enough, we didn't have to put it up right away, they were too busy playing with their other toys. We didn't hook it up, until after lunch. Crazy! We have been having a blast with it ever since!

Here is the ever famous pictures of the loot that the kids got. (This tradition of taking the photos of everything started when I was a kid and I just continue it)

SnOw!!!

With all the snow that we have recieved in the the past 5 days, the kids have been in heaven. Everyday after school they have been going out and playing in it. I wish that I had their enthusiasm when it came to snow. I don't like to drive in it, shovel it (although James does this most of the time), I don't like to clean up after the kids have played in the winter wonder, I just really don't like it, plain and simple.

Although when I see the joy and happiness in their little faces, I will endure the mess and let them play outside.
Yes that is grass the you see behind Paige. James thinks that we need to have a very clean pathway to the wood pile, I guess, because there are a few spots of grass peaking through the snow.

Here comes Santa Claus

We attended the annual Frost family Christmas party last Sat. and had quite the adventure. There was going to be a big storm that day, so we headed over the mountain early, to spend some time with James' brother and his family. The weather was good, overcast but not storming yet. We went to the party that evening had dinner, saw Santa and visited.

I had been preparing Paige to sit on Santas lap for the past few days. I told her that she needed to sit on his lap and tell him what she wanted from him. She would tell me "NO". I had hoped that once she saw her brothers sitting on Santa's lap, she would be okay. Well it happened that she was called up first, and she was going to have nothing to do with Santa. She buried her head into my shoulder and wouldn't even look at him to take her goodie bag. So much for her tell him what she wanted. To top it off, I left my camera at Paul and Michelle's house and so I didn't even get photos of my kids on his lap year. Oh well.

When we left, it was snowing quite bad, there was about 2-3 inches on the road and we couldn't even see 20 ft. in front of us. We knew that we couldn't stay the night, because James had bishopric meeting in the morning, so we had to be home. We also knew that we weren't going to go over the mountain to get home. So we decided to head south, through Kanab, Freedonia, Hurricane and the freeway. What should have taken us 1 hr and 40 minutes that way, took up 3 hours to get home. The roads were snow packed and the visiblity was bad. In the 12 years that James and I have been married, never once have we gone south to make it home. And we have been over the mountain in some really bad storms. I was very surprised that James said that we weren't going to go over the mountain, who knows how bad it was! We made it home late but safe. James got up and headed to his meeting yesterday, and he didn't even had them. UGH!

*Don't forget to check out my post for a FREE Nintendo Wii jacket. It should be two posts down from this one.

Paige's 1st haircut

I have been debating whether or not to cut Paige's hair for a long time. Since I got my haircut on Sat, I decided to get her done too. She was really, really good during it, I was impressed. She hardly sit still to get her hair done everyday. It looks tons better now, the back is pretty even, she still has hers curls back there. The top is a little more uniform and even. I am glad that I decided to go ahead with it. Now hopefully it will grow in faster and better.

During

After picsWe really didn't cut her bangs, I am trying to grow them out, Michelle just evened everything out. In fact, these are mostly her little wispies that are finally growing out, and her longer bangs are pulled back.

I know that some of you have a Nintendo Wii and I know that my kids are getting this for Christmas next week, so when I ran across this Freebie, I just had to post it. Go here and enter your serial number and how many remote jackets that you want and they will send them out. I guess that all new systems are going to have the jackets included when you buy them, hence the reason that they are offering them to existing owners.

I got mine ordered, there is NO shipping or anything! This is a completely FREE item! You can't pass this one up, if you have a Wii!

Almost FREE Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and More

Here is a link for $1 off two Arm and Hammer Baking Soda. I just used this coupon last night at Wal-mart, where it was $.54 each, making them $.04 after the coupon. Who can pass up almost FREE baking soda, especially with all the baking that goes on during the holidays. Remember you can print two coupons!

There is also a $1 off Rayovac batteries here. They have a 4 pack of the Heavy duty Rayovac batteries for $.97 each, use this coupon and get them for FREE. Make sure that you have at least one other item to make up the 3 cents, they will not give you money back, so use it for something else. With Christmas toys, who doesn't need batteries! I got two of these also last night and didn't have any problems. I plan on printing some more coupons and getting a few more packs of batteries! Heads up, this is a HUGE coupon, it takes the whole page of paper, but I had no problems with using it.

Here is a $3 off Ziploc Big Bags. I have yet to price them at Wal-mart, but I bet that they are around $3.50 or so, use this coupon and you could get some for pretty cheap. These would be great to store bigger things in them and then put them away. Anything for not using boxes, which I can never find.

HAPPY SHOPPING!

Sorry

I feel like I haven't blogged in forever, oh wait I haven't. I have been all consumed with the whole Tutu thing lately and haven't found hardly any time to blog. I am hopefully done with tutus for awhile, at least until after Christmas, and then I will see if I want to continue to make them and sell them in some of the stores in town. We will see though.

I love it when my kids start to talk and you are able to understand them. It is finally happening with Paige, she is learning more and more words and is putting them together and forming small sentences. She is able to communicate with us better and express her needs. And trust me she really expresses her needs sometimes, so much so it drives me crazy!

She is really getting into the princess thing. She loves to watch her Barbie movie and Dora (she is getting some Disney Princess movies for Christmas). One of her favorite thing to say is "UP Beauty", whenever I ask her about "Sleeping Beauty", she proceeds to tell me that she is "Up Beauty". She sees a picture of Sleeping Beauty and she is awake, not asleep, hence the Up Beauty. It is pretty funny.

She is in a really fun age and I am loving every minute of it. And when she is acting out and throwing one of her tantrums, I just remind myself that she is our last baby and to enjoy and cherish everything!
