Our Sleeping Beauty

So Paige has been obssesed with Logan's little toddler bed lately. She wantes to be changed on it, rather than the changing table, she wants to get dressed on it and play on it. So the other day when I was putting her down for her nap she got on Logan's bed and layed down, so I though that I would give it a try and let her sleep in it. Well to my amazement she stayed in it, not getting up once and fell asleep there. So I had to take a picture. Again today she is asleep in it and sleeping well. I dont' want to take her out of the crib yet because it is nice to have her contained in the morning and bedtime, I also don't have another toddle bed, unless I borrow my sisters. I thought that I would try to put Logan and Paige in a bunk bed next year sometime. Logan will have outgrown the toddle bed and I won't have room for a crib and a bed, so we were going to do bunkbeds for now. I hope to keep her in the crib unless she really starts to throw a fit.

She seems to be growing up way to fast for me. I know it happens, but I don't know if I am ready for my baby to grow up. Can't she stay little forever?! It is great to see her learn new things and be ready for new things like sleeping in the toddler bed, but I don't know if I want her to.

Here is another example of how big she is getting. She is kinda potty training! Yes you read it right and yes she is only 17 months. She started about three weeks ago wanting to sit on the toilet when ever I changed her diaper. Low and be hold she would actually go potty. Pretty much every time I put her on the toilet she goes. She knows that whenever I change her she getst to go potty and walks on in. Now this isn't real potty training I would say, but it is a start and why hold her back if she wants to go. I have heard that girls are easier to potty train and so far that is true. I didn't start potty training the boys until they were 2 or so.

Anyways I marvel at how fast the time is going and how much she is growing up. All I can do is sit back and enjoy the ride! :)

Logan's 4th Birthday!

We had Logan's birthday party today and he had so much fun. He is really into Transformers the Movie, so we did that for a theme. I really wanted to do something fun for his cake and it took me awhile to figure out what I was going to do and I settled on this. So I am by no means a cake decorator, so I thought that the mask turned out pretty good. For those of you who don't know what the mask is, it is the symbol of the Autobots (the good guys). And Logan's favorite transformer is Bumblebee, the yellow camero that he turns into. So the cake had to yellow and we did the mask black.

Logan had 3 friends and 2 cousins over to celebrate with him and they all had a good time. He recieved some transformer toys, bumblebee pj's, transformers the movie and some new pants. I think that the pjs are going to be his new favorite ones to wear.

I enjoy doing the party's for my kids and they all love them, but at the end of the day I am tired and ready to lay down for a nap, but I still have some grocery shopping to do and picking Tanner up from a friends birthday party. Oh well, I love the look of my kids face when they see all that I have done for them, it is the icing on the cake. So Logan my little man, I am glad that you had a great party. I love you so very much and am glad that you are part of our family. We love you!!

Our Zoo Trip

So now that I have my camera back, I left it at Sarah's (my sister-in-laws that we stayed with for the weekend) and we thought that we had lost it or it was stolen out of our van, because James and I both thought that we had put it in the van. Anyways now that I have the camera and some time I thought that I would update our blog from out latest adventure.

As you can see we went to the Hogle zoo with James' family last weekend and had a ball. It wasn't the greatest of weather, it rained on us all the way up there and then cleared up for the couple of hours that we were there. Thankfully. The kids, yes all of them had a blast. Paige decided that the stroller was no fun when the boys got to walk around and see things. So she spent most of the time walking or being held by dad, mom or grandma. The boys were very excited to see "The Ghost of The Bayou" he only had a few weeks left there before we was being sent back home to New Orleans. Here is an interesting fact that we learned there. The alligator is not an albino, because he has blue eyes and not pink. There are only a handfull of them left in the world and they are all males, so they will soon be extinct. Interesting huh?! So the picture with the alligator is not the best, my camera lens was fogging up on me, I and didn't realize it until the pic was taken and we had a line of people behind that wanted to see, so we had to move on. Paige really like the ducks and we spent some time there on the bridge. While I was taking the picture and keeping an eye on her, so she wouldn't fall off and try to reach the ducks. That was fun. EEKKS! We all had dinner that night at James' sister's house that night and talked and hung out. It was a fun night! All in all we had a great time hanging out with our family and doing some fun things.

Soccer Pics

So a wonderful mom and a friend of mine that I happen to babysit for, provided me with these pics. Since her son was on Tanner's team and she remembered that I forgot my camera to, like 20 some odd games and so she was kind enough to share a few that she had that had Tanner in them. Thanks a million Katie.

Soccer is Over!

Well soccer is finally over for Tanner. I am greatly relived. The past two games have been pretty cold and miserable, but we endured. Tanner is sad and didn't want to be done, but seeing how we have been going since the begining of Aug. it has been a long two months. It was fun to watch Tanner learn and get better and better as the weeks went on. He played AYSO, so he was on a boys 7 yr. old team (they had about 10 teams per age and gender). We only played other boy 7 teams, but that was plenty. At that age they don't have playoffs or anything like that, that starts about age 10, so we just ended a regular season. The kids at this age are still not real good and they liked to hover the ball and follow it around and try to get it. They slowly got better and better over time. And they learned what their positions were and what they were to do when they played those positions. It was fun to watch and see them all work together and play the best that they could. We had a fun time but are glad that it is over. Austin wants to play next year also, so I maybe busy making it to two-four games a week, if Tanner plays too. That will be so fun!? I will deal with that when we get to it.

I am a terrible mother and kept forgetting my camera to take any pictures. So all I have are a few that I took one night after a game here at home. They are good to show what his uniform was like and how cute he was in it. But I don't have any action photos from any games. What a terrible person I am. Oh well.
