Bed Switcher

Imagine my surprise when I went to check on the kids last night and didn't see Paige in her bed. Earlier I had heard some noise and was wondering what was going on but no one came out of their rooms, so I figured that it was someone just rustling in their bed and didn't think anything else about it. So before I headed to bed I checked in on the older boys, they were sleeping soundly and went into Logan and Paige's room and she was not in her bed. After taking a quick look around the room and she wasn't asleep on the floor or anything, I panicked (for a split second). Then it hit me, I knew where she was. So I climbed the ladder to Logan's bed and low and behold what did I find, two little sleeping kids. It was so cute, I had to take a picture. She has been wanting to sleep with Logan, in fact we have had to take the ladder out for a few nights, so she would not climb up. So I lifted her up and put her back in her bed. I wonder if she wonders how she got in her bed, when she knew that she had climbed up and fallen asleep with Logan. It was cute and helped put things into perspective for me after a hard evening with the boys.

Is Your TV Ready?

So I am sure that we have all been hearing all the buzz about the new Digital signal coming next Feb, and that if we don't have a box to recieve that signal we won't be able to watch tv. Here are my house we will not be able to watch said tv, because we don't have cable or satellite, so we will have to purchase a convertor box to recieve the tv signal. Well I found the website to get a free coupon and more information about everything. The site is www.dtv2009.gov , you can learn more or request a coupon for $40 off the converter box. That is nice that the government is willing to help us out on this, so we won't be left out in the cold. Or maybe it would be nice not to have so much tv on in our house. What would that be like?!

Blue and Gold

We had our monthly pack meeting last night and it was the annual Blue and Gold Banquet. This is where the pack welcomes the new scouts that are coming in within the year and also the monthly pack meeting for awards and things like that. They have a dinner and have the gym all decorated. This years theme was to celebrate the Chinese New Year. It was decorated really cute and fun. Well last night was really special for our family, 1)Austin earned and recieved his Bear award and 2)Tanner was welcomed into scouts. Yes, he turns 8 this year and get to be baptized and go into scouts. He is really excited for both! I am stunned to believe that I will have two little boys batized and in scouts. Am I really that old!? I guess I am. Where has the time gone, it seems like yesterday that Tannner was a little toddler following Austin around. Now he really get to follow in Austin's footsteps and be in scouts. YEAH!

Here are a few pictures of the event. Yes, I know that there are duplicates of a few, only because I didn't have enough to make a collage even. Sorry!

Cousins

On Sunday we went over the mountain to James' parents house to have dinner and hang out for a few hours. His sister and her kids were down visisting, so that made the trip even better. My kids love to see the cousins and play with them. I love that my in-laws will have us over on spur of the moment decisions (we decided Sat. night to go over). They are the greatest! Thanks Lolly and Sherman!

This one is of Paige and Lora. They are 2 weeks apart, Lora being the older, yet Paige is taller. How cute are they!
This is Paige trying to love Jace and he didn't really want anything to do with her. He is almost 1 yr.
This one is of Paige wearing some play glasses. She loved them and didn't want to take them off.

Who Knew...

...that 4th grade math was so much fun!? Not me, or at least I had forgotten. Austin was doing his math homework last night and got stuck on a problem and asked for my help. Well I wasn't very much help. For the life of me I couldn't figure out the stupid problem. He was frustrated at me and thought that I should know how to figure it out. I was frustrated at myself for not being able to figure out a simple 4th grade math problem. What was I stupid?! I finally thought that I had it and we wrote it down and then proceeded to the next problem that had to do with the answer of the previous problem, that we had just figured out. Well the two answer didn't fit and weren't right. So we were back to the first problem and this time we had to get it right, in order to do the next problem. I still was having a major brain fart and couldn't figure out the answer. I finally said that we needed to call grandma (my mom). Austin looked at me like I was crazy and said, "what can she do?". After talking to her and reading her the answer she was able to figure it out, rather quickly I might add. I was then able to see what I had been doing wrong and was able to get the answer, just as my mom had said. So finally after about 20 minutes of struggling we were ablt to get the answer and be done with that fun aspect of the night. I certainly hope that I will be able to keep up with the math that the kids have to do as they grow. Who knows I might just learn something on the way! :)

All Things Girl

Lately Paige has shown us more and more that she is a girl. Yes, we know that she is a "Girl" , but she does more and more things that are girly. Although she does have her moments that all she wants to do is play with her brothers and their toys. But this post is about "All Things Girl" . She likes to play in mybathroom while I am doing my makeup and get into my drawer. Well this particular morning I was doing her hair in my bathroom, so I had her sitting on the counter and I was working away. We always look in the mirror after to see "how pretty" she looks, and what to my suprise did I see on her face, makeup. She had been playing with my brushes and brushed some eyeshadow onto her cheek. Now how pretty does she look?!
The other day I found some curlers that will stick to the hair without a clip. They are kinda like velcro, you just have to roll the hair in and they stay. I couldn't resist to put them in, even though she doesn't have A LOT of hair. She has enough for them to curl!:) YEAH! Since her hair is so fine the curl doesn't last very long, we tried to do it for church and the curl was pretty much gone before sacrament started. Oh well. It is sure cute to she her in them.

Here are some of the pictures of the makeup and curlers.

Husband Tag

So my sister-in-law did this tag on her blog and I thought that is would be a good get to know you about my husband and I .

-What is his name: James

-How long have we been married: 11 years, last month

-How long did we date: 2 months, before we were engaged and then married 2 1/2 months after that

-Who said I love you first: He did

-Who is taller: He is. He is 6'1'' and I'm the shortie at 5'4''

-Who sings better: Me, although I am not great and he does try. What more could you ask for!?

-Who is smarter: Me when it comes the everyday household running. But he would be when it comes to anything mechanical. He takes care of everything that has to do with the cars, firewood, yard stuff etc.

-Who pays the bills: Me, unfortunatly. He does know what is paid and how much we have after bills are paid.

-Who sleeps on the right side of the bed: My right or your right?

-Who mows the lawn: Most of the time me, unless I bug him enough to get it done.

-Who cooks dinner: I do. I try to make it before he leaves for work (he works the swing shift and goes to work @1). He usually takes over on the weekends to give me a break.:)

-Who drives?: James, when we go anywhere together. He can't stand to be a passenger.

-Who's more stubborn: I would have to say him.

-Who kissed who first: I don't really remember. How sad:(

-Who asked who out: We were set up on a blind date by his bosses wife, who knew my family. I had just gotten home from being in New York and jumped at the opportunity to go on a date. He called me and set it up.

-Who proposed: He did after he went home for a weekend and meet with his bishop.

-Who has more siblings: I do. I have 1 brother and 3 sisters. He has 2 brothers and 1 sister.

-Who wears the pants in the family: I think that I fill them better and keep in check, but I would have to say that we pretty much both take care of things.

Oh Where, Oh Where has my earing gone?

Last night I noticed that Paige had not one but both earings missing! Now you tell me how one little 20 month old has managed to get out both of her earings? I'll tell you how, I have caught her playing with them and obvisouly she has been able to get the back off and then take the earing out and who knows where they are now. Although I have my suspicions that she managed to get them out while taking a bath last night and they went down the drain. She had them on all day yesterday, up until 7 or so when I noticed that they were missing. The little sneak!

This is not the first time that she has lost one. She has lost two other ones, although I think that those just fell out and we lost one of the two. So I think that she has learned to mess with them enough to get the back off and lose them. This is really bad, up to now she has not really messed with them, much less be able to take them off. I don't know what to do. I really don't want to take them out and leave them out. I don't want to take the chance of the holes closing, even though she has had them pierced for 1 1/2 yrs. Anyways if anyone has any ideas, let me know. For now I will continue to watch them and make sure that they aren't going anywhere.

The Blue Man Group

What a fun weekend James and I had, by ourselves none the less. We have been planning this little gewaway since before Christmas and we had a blast. This was our Anniversary, birthday, valentine and what ever else we needed celebration. We decided to stay downtown SLC so we would be close to the Energy Solutions Center where "The Blue Man Group" was performing. That was really nice to just walk over there and then back when it was over. The concert was so much fun. It was loud, the lights were crazy and the energy was great! It was comedic, there was music and entertainment! What more could you ask for. There talent on their "instrument" that they play on was unbelieveable! It basically was a bunch of PVC pipe that they had put together and it was big. Big enough that all three of them had a section that they played on. It was cool. They had other really cool things that they used as instruments. They had a huge bass drum, about the 6-7 ft wide, that they would jump and hit and it would make the arena shake. That was sooo cool! All in all the concert was GREAT and I would reccomend any one who gets the chance to see them, to not miss out on a fun concert. We also did a little shopping and had lunch with my brother. It is always good to see him! When we headed home we were a little shocked to see what the weather was doing to the freeway. Lots of snow packed road. But we made it home safe and sound. We went and picked up the kids from my mom (Thanks again mom!). Little Paige was the cutest. We were really worried about how she would do being away from me, she is a big time momma's girl and has never been left overnight with anyone. So when she saw me, she came running and gave me a big hug and I picked her up and loved her. All the while she was squeezing my neck and kicking her feet and she kept looking at me and giving me kisses. So cute! The boys gave all loves and preceded to tell us what they did and how the cleaned grandmas house. (Now why can't I get them to clean for me, just because they want to?) What GREAT KIDS!! What a GREAT weekend! What more could a person ask for?!
